Karlsson X 2
One floor up in the Österlens Museum in Simrishamn, the textile artist Lisa Karlsson's sparse and unique selection of colourful patchwork, developed over twenty years, is on display. What impresses most is flickering kinetic and gleams in black, carmine and white, not much different from Victor Vasarely. A black and white quilt whose geometric pattern could have been taken from a mulberry tapa on Tonga is surprisingly more inspired by traditional textile art on Österlen.
In cooperation with Malmö museums.
